Format
ROUND 1: ONLINE
This will be conducted in 2 halves
A) For First Year Students:
Problem statement will be released on: 15th January 2023.
Expected Date: 16th January to 18th January 2023
Submission of report: 18th January 2023.
B) Other than First Year Students:
Problem statement will be released on: 28 January 2023.
Expected Date: 29th January to 31th January
Submission of report: 31st January 2023.
ROUND 2: ONLINE
The problem statements from NGOs will be divided among the teams. A detailed solution for the given problem needs to be submitted in the form of a presentation along with a report summary in pdf format.
*DATES FOR ROUND 2 WILL BE NOTIFIED FURTHER.
ROUND 3: OFFLINE
● The topics allotted in round 2 will be presented before the judges.
● A brief presentation to be put forth.
● Time limit to put forth your view points: 10 minutes
● Plagiarism can lead to disqualification.
Rules
- Team:
● You can make a team of 1,2, or 3 participants.
● The team members should be able to communicate effectively, work cooperatively
with each other and have efficacy, and the event organizers since a part of the event
will be held online.
● There are no restrictions on the number of participants from the same college.
● Participants from other colleges are allowed.
● False identity and any malpractice will lead to direct disqualification. - Format of the report:
● A problem statement will be allotted. The problem statement may or may not be the same for any two teams.
● The report should be a PDF of 2-3 pages.
● Font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12.
● The problem statement number and title given by the event heads should be the solution report title (Font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 14).
● The document should be named in the same way.
● The problem statement must be stated at the start, before the solution. - Subtopics which be compulsorily included in the report and presentation:
● A short intro to your solution.
● The financial resources required for the solution to be implemented.
● The human resources required for the same.
● A proper time frame to realize the solution.
● A sound explanation of why your solution is the best and most practical.
● Downsides of the solution.
● Any other subtopics which may seem relevant can be added.
● Plagiarism can lead to disqualification.
● Presentation should be a derivative of the report.
● Limit for slides in presentation: not more than 20 slides
● Report should be a PDF of 5-6 pages.
● Font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12.
Note: The judging panel reserves the rights to disqualify the participant team if any of the rules are breached by any participant. It is the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves updated.
The problem statement in Round 1 will be given by SDP Team. The problem statements in Round 2 and 3 will be given by respective NGOs.
